Envision a sea of glamorous guests admiring the stunning bride as she walks down the aisle in a gorgeous high-end wedding gown before reaching the altar to come face-to-face with her soon-to-be, smitten husband. The time has finally arrived after months, and even years, of planning every detail, from venue, outfits, caterers, and music (the list is endless).

The stress, worries and drama are undoubtedly worth it for the end-game, and it appears that Hollywood has sat up and taken note of the high-stakes life events and made weddings and marriage a major film theme for 2023. Yes, you heard that right, the movie space for the next few months will see a slate of nuptials-related films, and while some look to be sweet and relatable stories of the big day, other movies seem to be more of a chaotic spectacle for dramatic effect. For example, think more along the lines of Jennifer Lopez and Josh Duhamel taken hostage on the day of their wedding in the upcoming movie Shotgun Wedding.

So, if you're after a much-needed break from your own wedding planning, are gearing up for yet another bridesmaid duty, or simply want to take notes for your own wedding in the future, why not take some time out during the following year to watch the following movies centred on Hollywood's latest new obsession: Weddings.
