Two men have been seriously injured after a car crash on the A120.
Emergency services were called out at around 8.25am today (Friday, April 27) to the westbound carriageway near the Dunmow South turnoff.
One of the men was flown to the Queens Hospital in Romford with head injuries, while the other suffered injuries to his pelvis and was taken to Broomfield Hospital.
A 51 year-old man from Braintree has been arrested on suspicion of driving without due care and attention and drink driving.
Essex Police closed the road to conduct their investigation.
